Rotate is a hallmark creation by Daito Manabe and Motoi Ishibashi, focusing on transforming data from various sensors and input devices into sound and visuals. Led by Daito Manabe with Motoi Ishibashi handling the hardware, the project also featured collaborations with creative artist Youichi Sakamoto and cinematographer Muryo Homma. The piece aims to craft a singular musical harmony using the sounds of rotation generated by eight motors connected to metal plates.
<회전>는 다양한 센서와 입력 장치에 의해 얻어진 결과를 소리, 이미지 등으로 변환하는 것에 주된 관심을 두는 마나베와 이시바시 작가의 대표작이다. 이 작품은 다이토 마나베가 주축이 되었고, 모토이 이시바시가 하드웨어를 담당하였으며, 크리에이티브 아티스트 유이치 사카모토, 촬영감독 무료 홈마가 협업했다. 이 작품은 금속판과 연결된 총 8개의 모터에서 나오는 회전 운동의 소리를 소스로 하여 하나의 음악이자 화음을 만들어 내고자 한 프로젝트이다.
