Rhythm & Ink depicts scenes where white paper, folded like a fan, is continuously blown by the wind, flipping back and forth like pages of a book. Droplets of black ink falling onto the white paper leave vivid visual traces, accompanied by a piano melody and a female jazz singer's rendition of ‘Autumn Leaves’. The familiar melody evolves dynamically with the singer's seasoned expression, adjusting its intensity and rhythm. The scattered ink, flowing along with the music, evokes various interpretations, resembling tears or other abstract images.
<리듬 & 잉크>는 부채처럼 접힌 하얀 종이가 불어오는 바람에 날려 마치 책장이 넘어가듯 쉼 없이 접혀지고 펼쳐지는 장면을 보여준다. 하얀 종이 위에 툭툭 떨어지는 검정 잉크 방울들은 강렬한 시각적 잔상을 남기는데, 그 배경에는 피아노 선율과 함께 여성 재즈 싱어가 부르는 ‘낙엽’이 들린다. 귀에 익숙한 멜로디는 가수의 노련한 표현력에 의해 강약과 리듬이 자유자재로 변화되며 진행된다. 음악에 맞추어 흩뿌려지고 흘러내리는 물과 잉크는 눈물인 듯 비인 듯 여러 가지 심상을 떠올리게 한다.
