Who Shot the Artist? begins with scenes of various stores and pedestrians passing by. In the video, the artist monologues to the audience, occasionally facing a gun pointed at the camera. Despite being shot at and bloodstains appearing on his white shirt, he continues to walk towards us, speaking. Many people in the video get angry at the ongoing gunfire but don't take any specific action. The piece questions the continued attacks on critical intellectuals, suggesting artists cannot remain silent against assassination, violence, censorship, and tacit consent.
<누가 예술가를 쐈는가?>는 여러 상점들과 그 앞을 지나가는 행인들의 모습을 보여주며 시작된다. 영상 속에서 예술가는 관객을 향해 독백 하며, 때론 카메라의 향해 총구가 겨누어 지기도 한다. 총이 발사되고 피의 얼룩이 예술가의 흰 셔츠에 나타나기도 하지만 그는 계속해서 우리를 향해 걸으며 무엇인가를 이야기한다. 영상에 등장하는 많은 사람들은 총이 계속해서 발사되는 것에 화를 내지만, 그렇다고 특별히 어떠한 행동을 하지는 않는다. 비판적 의식을 가진 지식인들에 대한 공격이 계속되는 것에 대해 질문하는 이 작품은 암살, 폭력, 검열 그리고 묵인에 대항하여 예술가들이 침묵할 수 없음을 이야기한다.
