Promised Land portrays the journey of young men from Iran and Afghanistan seeking refuge in Europe. Reza, with his son, awaits in ruinous dwellings for a chance to reach England, while Mohammed, Jafar, and Hasan plan to cross from Calais to the UK, only hindered by Hasan's inability to swim. The film, enriched by the refugees' own footage, delves into their camaraderie, aspirations, and survival strategies amid adversity. This film sheds light on the friendship, hope, dreams, and resilience of refugees based on videos they themselves have filmed. Arise is a movie shot in the village of Kirki in New Delhi, following the lives of three young individuals from lower castes named Hari, Sandeep, and Pradip. Connected through hip-hop culture, dance, rap, and poetry, they strive to resist their caste status and seek expression and rights.
