The Mama Doll series focuses on the Japanese family system. Many Japanese fathers spend a lot of time outside the home, so Japanese mothers take on the role of controlling and educating their children at home. The series is created using photographs of real families, layering images of mothers, sons (boys under 12), and daughters together.
<마마 돌>은 일본의 가족 제도에 초점을 맞추고 있다. 많은 일본 아버지들은 집 밖에서 많은 시간을 보내기에, 일본의 어머니들이 집에서 자녀들을 통제하고 교육하는 역할을 한다. <마마 돌>시리즈에는 실제 가족들을 촬영해 만들어졌으며, 어머니, 아들 (12세 미만 남자 아이들), 딸의 이미지를 함께 겹쳐서 이미지를 만들었다.
