Urbanized Typeface: Shibuya08-09 is an innovative project that intersects typography with urban exploration, utilizing GPS data to craft a unique font. By navigating through Shibuya, the artist's movements were tracked via GPS, with the resulting data forming the basis of each letter in the typeface, reflecting the urban landscape's influence on design. This work, showcased in the Open Space 2009 exhibition, emphasizes the interplay between city structure and artistic expression. Additionally, it gained recognition at the 13th Japan Media Arts Festival, highlighting its creative integration of technology and typography within the urban context.
