The Monk by The Maw Naing follows young novice Zawana as he navigates his path at a small village monastery in Burma under the guidance of the abbot U Dahma. Amidst playful and rebellious peers Zawana is faced with life-changing decisions when U Dahma falls ill, prompting him to contemplate a deeper commitment to life's lessons beyond the monastery's walls.
테 마우 나잉의 <수도승>은 버마의 작은 마을 수도원에서 자신의 길을 찾아가는 젊은 수도사 자와나의 이야기를 담고 있다. 자와나는 여러 갈림길 앞에서 자신의 인생 다음 단계를 선택해야 하며 수도원장 우 다마(U Dahma) 아래에서 수행과 일상을 겪으며 성장한다. 장난기 많고, 복종하지 않는 초보자들 사이에서 우 다마가 병에 걸리자 자와나는 삶의 중대한 결정을 내려야 하는 순간을 맞이한다.
