Night Skater is a video piece created through stop-motion animation of images painted in oil on 10 canvases and several sheets of tracing paper. It starts as the sun sets and darkness falls, with people disappearing from the park, leaving behind remnants. At the moment when the chilly night air and the noisy sounds of insects and bugs replace the noise of people, the skater appears. Rolling, stopping, scrolling down on their phone, rolling again, stopping again, and scrolling down once more, the solitary skater navigates the ‘blue night park’, maximizing the tactile sensation of the night with hands and feet, whether moving swiftly or slowly. The fingers sweeping across the phone's surface and the slipping feet on the seemingly solid yet yielding ground create a surreal experience.
