DMZ Unarmed Goddesses is a collaborative piece with seven DMZ tour guides in Cheorwon. Inspired by our mothers' generation, this dance project reflects on the lives of women born post-Korean War who supported their families while continuing to work into their later years. Traditionally, guides share the DMZ's military and war history with tourists. However, this video, showing individuals in white wedding dresses dancing silently across the DMZ, transforms these narratives of war tension into a unique experience, highlighting the beauty of the DMZ and the lives of women who've lived through Korea's division.

<DMZ_비무장 여신들>은 철원 DMZ 안보 관광의 가이드 7명과 함께 만든 협업 작품이다. 그들과 함께 한 댄스 프로젝트는 우리 어머니 세대에 대한 관심에서 비롯되었다. 한국전쟁 직후 태어난 이 여성들은 대부분 가족을 부양하며 자신을 희생했을 뿐 아니라, 중년이 되어서도 일을 계속하는 경우가 많다. 본래 관광 가이드의 역할은 DMZ 내 군사시설과 전쟁 역사의 흔적을 관광객에게 설명하는 것이다. 전쟁이 끝난 후 철원 주민 대부분은 정부 정책에 따라 DMZ로 이주해 지뢰밭을 농지로 개간하는 일을 하였다. 과연 그 시대를 경험한 철원 여성들의 삶은 어떠하였을까? 영상은 하얀 웨딩드레스를 입은 사람들이 DMZ 곳곳에서 조용히 춤을 추는 모습을 보여준다. 남북한의 전쟁과 분단의 긴장을 설명하던 장소는 영상에서 색다른 체험의 장이 된다. 비록 턱시도를 입은 신랑은 등장하지 않지만, 영상은 DMZ의 아름다움과 함께 분단된 상황을 일상으로 경험한 여성들의 삶을 보여준다.
