In 2001, EMAP was conceived around the then-new art form of "media art" under the theme "Forest and Dreams." This event explored the collapse of boundaries and the hybridization between art genres, reflecting the art world's reality, where much energy was being devoted to embracing and assimilating "new media." The videos primarily featured in this exhibition focused on intensively expressing the artists' sensibilities and encouraged young artists to transition from consumers to producers of visual culture. Additionally, the event was designed to explore the interaction between art and space by presenting scenes where art harmonizes with the natural environment.
