Andra8, the main character in Alison Nguyen’s film, was created by an algorithm and raised by the Internet in a virtual void. From the apartment where she has been placed Andra8 works as a digital laborer, surviving off the data from her ‘freemium’ jobs as a virtual assistant, a data janitor, a life coach, an aspiring influencer, and content creator.
앨리슨 응우옌의 작품에서 주인공 ‘Andra8’은 알고리즘에 의해 생성되고, 가상 공간에서 인터넷 환경에서 성장했다. Andra8은 배정된 아파트에서 가상 비서, 데이터 청소부, 인생 코치, 인플루언서 지망생, 콘텐츠 크리에이터 등, 각종 ‘무료 직업을 통해 데이터를 획득하며 생계를 유지하는 디지털 노동자이다.
